Amy Sedaris took a tumble onstage at the National Board of Review Awards Gala in NYC on Thursday night.

The actress and comedian, 62, was so excited to present Paul Giamatti with the Best Actor award for his role in “The Holdovers” that she ended up on the floor in front of a packed room of celebs.

After handing Giamatti the accolade, Sedaris headed to the back of the stage as the actor was gearing up to make a speech following his win.

But it was then that the “Elf” actress stumbled and fell — all of it for laughs.

Giamatti, 56, rushed over to help the actress up, but it appeared as though the tumble was part of a skit as Sedaris remained on the floor as the room broke out in laughter.

Giamatti jokingly pointed at her as he returned to the podium to give his speech.

The National Board of Review shared a hilarious snap of the ordeal on social media.

“NBR Best Actor winner Paul Giamatti literally floored presenter Amy Sedaris with his nuanced comic performance in Alexander Payne’s THE HOLDOVERS!” they captioned the Instagram post.

The star-studded soiree, hosted at Cipriani 42nd Street, honors and recognizes the best films released within the past year.

The British actor and three-time Oscar winner quit acting after the 2017 film “Phantom Thread,” and has since largely avoided the spotlight.
